Frequently asked questions
We serve Wayne County, Oakland County, parts of Washtinaw County and parts of Livingston County. The immediate surrounding areas in some cases. Please call for exceptions.
We scoop your dog’s waste using a grid search method to avoid missing any hidden piles. Then we go over it again in a different pattern. After scooping we double bag the dog waste and dispose of it in your garbage can. We then ensure that all gates have been closed to prevent a pet escape, and finally, we text you a photo of your closed and locked gate for your piece of mind. We also inform you of any irregularities in your dog's stool.
We will usually work if it's just a light rain or snow. In the event of unsafe or hazardous weather or road conditions, we will cancel services until it's safe to resume. We may have to skip the week depending on location. Please be patient, as we will make every attempt to scoop your yard at least once every week during even the worst weather to prevent excessive accumulation of waste.
Maybe, our safety is important to us, as is the safety of your dog . If your dog is aggressive or doesn’t take kindly to strangers in the yard, we ask that you keep your dog inside the home during your service while we’re working in the yard. We may even lean one of our scoops against a door so it is not inadvertently opened during our time in your yard. Our staff will not attempt to enter a yard with an animal showing any signs of aggression, agitation, or overly excited barking. We will always attempt to contact you to see if someone is home to bring the dog inside, and/or notify you of the situation and try to return at a later time, that same day if possible.
Our repetitive services are subscription-based and prepaid on the first of the month. (please check your junk/spam folder if you do not receive it) You can cancel at any time. We accept all major credit/debit cards. Service beginning in the middle of the month is prorated for the remainder of the month and billed (to be paid) on the day of service. Monthly billing is by Auto-Pay with a credit card (or debit card) put on file. One-time cleanings are invoiced and paid on the day of cleaning after the service is completed. A deposit of 50% before service may be required.
If you’re scoop day lands on a federal holiday then your scoop will be rescheduled the next day, or done on your next scheduled scoop day.
If your lawn is overgrown, covered in leaves, or snow we can not ensure a full clean-up. We will try our best to get what we can, but if we can’t see it, we can’t pick it up!
We want you to be completely satisfied! If you are not, please contact us within 24 hours and we will do our absolute best to return as soon as possible to resolve it.
If it snows more than one inch (or the roads are treacherous) before we're scheduled to come out, we may cancel for that day simply because we can’t see it all. We will return as soon as possible. In some cases, we may have to wait until the next scheduled scoop day. However, I am often surprised by how much I can find in light snow.
No, but please have your gate unlocked on your service day, or leave a spare key in an envelope in a location for us to retrieve it. If you like, you can email us the combination to your lock (24 hours in advance please). Please make sure the gate has clear access, free from snow and any obstructions. We will MAKE CERTAIN to re-lock it on our way out. We won’t attempt to hop gates or hurdle fences. We will always try to make contact with you if the gates are locked. We cannot be responsible for non-functioning, or frozen locks.
